Exploring

Trying to find away to be constructive in March is always a challenge .The usual weather doesn’t help either. We had snow 4 days in the last 8 days-yet the trees are still in bloom and spring seems so near. Actually it officially started yesterday but as ever someone forgot to inform the weather system over the Eastside.

Trying to kick start the creative muse I’ve set my self a wee challenge.A series of personal geographies .Started yesterday with a wee reflection of the snow covered side walk and the street below.6×4 to start with but I’m already exploring a bigger form.

The “buttons” were inspired by Nina Perkins tutorial .I adapted them as I have no enamel in my current supplies but that will change very soon.

Popped over from mmafriends – haven’t checked out the “buttons” tutorial yet. I am still figuring out how to navigate within the group 🙂 It is interesting to see who is in the group. I live in Victoria but grew up south of Olympia, I like to connect with others in the Pacific Northwest. I am in Vancouver today, so far it is a grey and cloudy looking day. But the view as always is spectacular!

I really like your paper buttons, and your beach pics. Well, I like all your pictures actually. I love the beach, and I am somewhat local. I’m from the Seattle area, north of, from the Edmonds area but currently live in Port Angeles. It’s always nice to connect with a local! I also am in an art group that you are in, (mmartfriends) but I haven’t participated in awhile as I’ve been pretty busy. I still work a night job, make art by day. I do make it over to the Seattle area about once a month for shopping and friends. My blog isn’t very good…I’m getting ready to purchase a new camera, which I think will help a lot. I am having my first ever opportunity this weekend here in Port Angeles to sell some of my jewelry at the Rock, mineral and gem show. Yes, I’m currently delving into jewelry making, but have a love of paint and paper…also currently working on an art journal.
    Nice to meet you, Deb!
